Our History
Advanced Window, Inc., established in 1994, regularly consults, designs, distributes, and installs all types of windows in multi-family, commercial, and institutional facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
AWI distributes for more than 30 manufacturers. We are distributors for MI/Capitol Windows and Doors, Hurd Windows, Graham Architectural Products, DeSCo Architectural, and many other leading window companies. Graham Architectural Products has named AWI "Distributor of the Year" three times.
AWI offers our services to architects, general contractors, property managers and building owners in the areas of window design and application, installation, and water and air infiltration problems. We also contract with independent testing laboratories for field and laboratory testing of fenestration products and installation for our clients.
Advanced Window has participated in many award-winning projects. Some projects are included in the book "Best Addresses of Washington, DC," written by James M. Goode and published by the Smithsonian. AWI replaced or replicated the windows for approximately 25% of the buildings mentioned in this book, such as 2101 Connecticut Ave., The Hawarden, and the Roosevelt Apartments. We take great pride in our ability to restore the facade of these beautiful buildings while maintaining their old world charm.
AWI recently completed the Trianon Condominiums in Bala Cynwyd and Independence Crossing in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Our sales representative in the Philadelphia area is native to that region and offers over 20 years of window and construction experience.
